Dasakodi Sivalinga Maha Sivakshetra
A Divine Sanctuary in the Heart of Munnar
Nestled in the serene landscapes of Munnar, spread across 30 acres of divine land, the Dasakodi Sivalinga Maha Sivakshetra is set to become a one-of-a-kind spiritual marvel. Rooted in traditional temple architecture, this sacred space will be an extraordinary pilgrimage site for Lord Shiva devotees, blending ancient wisdom with unique architectural innovation.
At the heart of the temple stands its most magnificent feature—a towering 108-foot-high pillar adorned with a giant lotus on the top, an awe-inspiring symbol of divine energy and purity. Surrounding this majestic pillar will be a breathtaking arrangement of 10 crore (Dasakodi) smaller Shivlings in a rotating formation, ensuring that every devotee gets an opportunity to perform their own personal pooja with reverence and devotion.
Adding to the temple’s spiritual grandeur, the main pillar, crafted entirely from pure mercury, enhances the sacred aura and mysticism of the site. Devotees stepping into the temple will also experience an artificial rain in the center, ensuring that everyone performing pooja is blessed by the sacred waters, symbolizing divine purification and renewal.
This temple is dedicated to the reincarnation and spiritual upliftment of all who died for our country, serving as a divine bridge to guide their souls on the journey to the afterlife. It is a sacred mission of honoring martyrs, offering peace to the departed, and spiritual enrichment to the living.

Significance of the Temple
A Sanctuary for the Departed Souls
Dasakodi Sivalinga Maha Sivakshetra is a living tribute to the brave souls who laid down their lives for our nation. This temple aims to provide peace and liberation to their souls, assisting in their journey beyond, through collective prayers and rituals.
The Power of 10 Crore Shivlings
Surrounding the central 108-foot pillar with a lotus, the 10 crore smaller Shivlings represent the infinite cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Their rotating arrangement ensures that every devotee can perform personal pooja, thus participating in a unique and powerful spiritual act.
Divine Elements
Mercury pillar: Known as Rasasiva, the mercury pillar absorbs negative energies and radiates pure divine power, aiding in spiritual cleansing and ascension. Artificial Rain: Symbolizing sacred Ganga, the artificial rain ensures that every devotee and soul is bathed in divine grace and purification.
